Sunday Message After Urban America Voted in a Liberal Socialist Iconic President
I must preface this message with a clarification that Christians are neither Jew nor Gentile, bond nor free, democrat or republican. They are, however, principled by God's word as their authority for all truth and when judging planks in a political platform for righteousness or for iniquity they should be discerning enough to recognize those which oppose God, godliness, and truth. There is not a platform that exemplifies godliness with all it's planks, but there is one that overwhelmingly opposes godliness, Bible morality and family values. Any one, no matter how articulate, educated or persuasive, who stands on that platform and makes promises represents a 'world view' or a 'philosophical position' that opposes godliness and opposes God. This God opposing world view has been called left, liberal and progressive. It wants to 'progress' away from the old ways and evolve government into a new beast leaning toward socialism. This left leaning is, not surprisingly, opposed by all evangelical Christianity. Liberal Christianity, can sometimes be found out there on the left because they have already compromised Biblical Christianity. Understand that I do not know any one that is more conservative than this Baptist Preacher. If you consider your self Christian and left, there is a cure; you should start a daily reading regiment in a KJV (non-modernist) Bible, get into a Bible Believing Baptist Church that will teach and preach you the whole truth from that book, and, for now suffer through the truths of the next few paragraphs. God only has the ONE TRUTH, and we serve and worship only HIM.

This week Urban America voted into the office of our Presidency a Socialist, rooted and grounded in the social reform ideology of the 60s, a charismatic orator of 'change', and a black iconic figurehead. Further they voted into our congress and house of representatives a gamut of liberal socialist leadership.
The success of their cry for change from a conservative moral platform of life, marriage, and home, to a liberal amoral platform of abortion, sodomy and village caused radical women libbers to rejoice but rural moms to weep.
The success of their cry for change from the conservative constitutional liberties of our founding fathers to a liberal social reform, social fairness, black power ideology caused spontaneous all night parties in urban streets while rural parents tucked their children in early for a hard day of work tomorrow.
The success of their cry for change from the conservative fiscal and economic principles that produced the wealth of this country to the spreading out wealth, increased tax and increased government that drives it to foreign soil, caused the world economy to brighten and ours to further fall. The socialist oxcart of liberalism has begun a down hill roll that will crush the moral standards and pragmatic liberties that rural America has valued since our founding. Most citified Americans did this in blind ignorance of the planks in the democrats platform or of the left turn in store for this nation.
What should a Christian do as we bank for the left turn that urban America has chosen for us to take? I will mention three Biblical responses and expect the saints at Good Sam Baptist Church to embrace all three. It will go without saying that we continue praying that the left turn will be hindered and blocked, and that its instigators be brought to confusion.
Six woes are pronounced in Isaiah 5 and America is deserving of each one. Tuesday's vote helps clarify the first of these woes that seems, by itself, a strange bird. It is a woe to city planners! How apropos. When one leaves the farm and moves to the big city their whole social idelolgy changes. They now empower government to control what their neighbors heat their house with, what color they paint it, and if they should spank their children or loose them to 'social services'. The government is called upon to solve urban and suburb problems that it was never built to solve and it, and the city dwellers now building it, become socialists looking for all types of social reform. The murder trial of the precious 12 year old, Erin Maxwell, this year will empower 'social services' to remove any child for any reason from any home and the left turn we are banking into will further empower that malicious and inept arm of socialism because in their socialist mind 'it takes a village!'
See the Lord on His throne, and be His witnesses
What Christians must do now is respond to the 7th woe, that of Isaiah the Prophet. “Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.” (Isa 6:5) In order to get to this woe'd condition Christians need to see what Isaiah saw in verse 1. “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” The diverse change in leadership for Isaiah, caused him to 'see also the Lord sitting upon a throne'. As a Christian the first thing we need to do in this circumstance is see the Lord on his throne. Then say with Isaiah 'Woe is me' then say with Isaiah 'Here am I, send me'. (vr 8)
Do not compromise, Your commission is not to fix or feed the world but to preach to it.
Little know today the idiom 'Jumping Jehoshaphat' comes from his jumping into compromise with the most vile leader to walk across a page of God's Bible. In 1Kings 22 Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, meets with Ahab, the most vile toad and king of Israel and surrenders lock-stock-and-barrel all that he has into his purposes and advantage. There were a few common goals that each king had, and Jehoshaphat thought that such common ground was cause for their league together. The disaster that ensued went on for 3 generations of Kings of Judah. When a sweet talking liberal shares your purpose driven goal of helping out the poor and wants you in his league, remember Jehoshaphat and Ahab and get your purpose driven carcass back to the Cross of Calvary. As a Christian you are to have one purpose and that is not Hybels unrepentant social gospel, it is Christ's full repentance glorious gospel. Do NOT compromise! “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” (1Cor 6:14-18)
Get off welfare, unemployment, and socialism, Get a Job
In the midst of a corrupted persecuting crocked world system, Paul tells the saints at Thessalonica to be examples and get a job. It is a pretty sorry Christian who prays to the government, for his daily bread. Now that our government is putting together the cradle-to-grave we'll-meet-your-needs, spread-out-the-wealth package, don't be that sorry Christian. Get off socialist welfare. “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” (2Thes 3:10)
Finally “But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. 14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. 16 ¶ Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.” (2Thes 3:13-16)

Also I am putting together messages for the rest of this month that will clarify specifically what is wrong with Obama's world view and the Liberal Democratic platform. I will send you these as I preach them. In short, for now, A Christian world view has, not in the least, 'planks' of sanctity of human life, sanctity of marriage, and sanctity of the home, Obama and the platform he stands on is diametrically opposed to each of these planks, and thus, no matter what he says with his lips, and no matter who he agrees to pray with after dismissing his mentor, Rev Wright, his philosophical world view is already in direct rebellion against God's clear directives. The direction he is headed, and the direction that this country voted for is pro-abortion, pro-stem-cell (anti-sanctity of human life) pro-sodomy, pro-alternate-lifestyle, pro-transsexual (anti-sanctity of the home), pro-'it takes a village', pro-social services (anti-sanctity of the home.) Our opposition to Obama and his party's platform is not shallow opinion. It goes to a core belief system, a core world view, a core philosophical standpoint. Maybe he can fix our economy, maybe he can bring peace to the middle east, maybe he can usher in a new world order with peace on earth, ... he is still diametrically opposed to God on core Biblical issues and is thus to be rebuked and opposed by Bible believing, and evangelical Christianity. And he is. Hopefully, and correctly, according to 2Thes 3:14-15 and Lev 19:17. It will be an interesting series as I will develop each of these positions from clear Bible teachings. What is a Christian to do when the world around him votes to take a hard left turn away from following after godliness? God's command to Joshua as he headed into the promised land was “Only be thou strong and very courageous, ... observe to do according to all the law, ... turn not from it to the right hand or to the left.” As America clearly voted against the holy sanctity of life, marriage and home Christians should make an extra effort to keep their eyes on their Lord. In Isaiah 6 the disturbing change in his nations leadership gave the prophet a better focus on the Lord's throne. “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” As we do the same, we should also utter his responses “Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips:” and concerning his witness he said “Here am I; send me.” Christians are always to bear witness of Jesus Christ their Saviour. As America turns left, denying the Creator and embracing godless evolution, Christians should not be in league with them. Jehoshaphat's compromise in 1Kings 22 cost his children the kingdom of Judah. Don't jump into compromise like a 'Jumping Jehoshaphat.' And as America takes this turn toward socialism, the Thessalonians, in similar circumstance were told “this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” Be an example, get a job. It is a pretty sorry Christian that prays to his government for his daily bread. As America turns away from Godliness, Christians need to portray His righteousness with greater resound.

The Bible says “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth,” and “God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion ... So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them,” further stating “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” The very first plank in a Christian's platform is the sanctity of human life. Every human life is holy; it is not your own, not owned by humans, not owned by humanity; it is given by Jehovah God, and owned by Him. Human life is very different from animal life in this regard, and ANY teaching that God's humans are just animals or ANY teaching that God's humans have evolved from mere animals is in direct rebellion to the revealed Word of God and in direct rebellion to this principle of the sanctity of human life. Further, the whole act of human procreation is holy; God forms and owns the human life in the womb at conception (Psalm 22:9-10,139:13) and even the seeds of that act before conception. (Jeremiah 1:5) It seems 52% of Americans believe German biologist Haeckel, who before 1900 imagined a scheme for Darwin whereby human embryos evolve like animals from amphibian, to chicken, to pig, to monkey, to .... finally become human-like after birth. This 100 year old fabricated lie is still taught as science to our school children, so too, they teach man was once monkey. A Christian does not believe the evolutionist but the Bible, holding firmly to the sanctity of human life. No human is or ever was an animal.
